Supercritical Fluid Chromatography is a method of separation and fractionation of liquid matrices. It combines the fundamentals of the Gas Chromatography (GC) and the High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Like in them, the separation is produced by the interaction of the solutes with the stationary phase. The mobile phase (the supercritical fluid) allows the solutes separation according to their solubility between the two phases.
